Car Rental Cape Town merely acts as agent for the rental companies. Your car hire is subject to the terms and conditions of supplier. By making a reservation with Car Rental Cape Town you are agreeing to these conditions. When picking-up your car you will also have to sign the car rental company's standard rental agreement. All conditions and rates are subject to change without prior notice, E&EO.

Driving requirements and minimum age:

A valid, unendorsed license is required, or a valid international license. The minimum age for drivers is 23 years, there is no maximum age.
Insurance cover:

Super and Standard Waiver insurance options cover you for damage and theft. If the damage is lower than the excess amount you will only be charged the lower amount.

Cross border rentals:

You must notify Car Rental Cape Town at the time of reservation if you intend to travel across the border. Most vehicle groups are allowed into Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, Swaziland and Mozambique. No vehicles are allowed into Angola, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

The car rental company will issue cross border permits for each country you plan to enter. Usually the excess liability doubles for damage or theft occuring in an authorised country. Please see your quote for more details.

Neither we, nor the rental company can be held responsible if a renter is refused entry into another country. Any immigration and cross border charges are settled directly at the border.
